Plans are in progress for a Fancy Pants outing in February, featuring boutiques in Berkeley. The outings are best when we visit no more than 4 shops, and these are the candidates thus far:
Margaret O’Leary
10 am – 6 pm
1832 Fourth Street

Molly B
10 am – 6 pm
1811 Fourth Street
Rabat Shoes
10 am – 6 pm
1825 Fourth Street
Sola Lucy (resale and vintage)
11 am – 5 pm
803 Delaware Street

Krasa
11 am – 7 pm
2980 College Ave #2A
There are good food choices in the area too, so lunch won’t be problematic nor will there be limited choices for my vegetarian friends.

Love those boutiques…I so wish there were more interesting places around here. Mind, I probably wouldn’t care for the prices! I’m still working on developing my sewing skills, so maybe one day I can please myself with my own creations (I should live so long…).

Lucky you, that you have the talent to sew garments! I wish I had the patience, but alas I have to finally admit to myself that I’ll not be a seamstress in this stage of my life.
Yes, the prices are pretty shocking to me. But I’m trying to do the ‘buy fewer pieces of higher quality’ thing, so I’m going to have to learn to see the expense as an investment.
The Bay Area is so great – fab dining, arts, shopping, and in a really beautiful setting (by and large – we have blight here and there). I am so grateful to live here.
