I’m in Asia for business, and have a layover in South Korea where I will soon board this cute airplane for the brief jaunt to Taipei.
This terminal at Incheon Airport is immaculate, modern and warm with walnut-hued wood laminate flooring, lots of live plants and huge slanting windows highlighting exposed pipe work.
It’s Sunday evening, and my fellow travelers include a merry group of middle-aged men and women wearing matching orange vests emblazoned with logos and words in a language I don’t recognize. Much laughter from that quarter, and friendly smiles toward myself tell me this is a reunion and the participants are filled with a happiness that overflows and touches those outside of their group.
I am tired, but close to my first destination, so willing myself awake for the next few hours.
